I am a Native Filmmaker, raised in Europe (through no fault of my own) currently working with the American Indian Film Institute. I worked on many national and international programs in Broadcast and was trained by the BBC. My film, 'Coloring the Media' premiered at BAFTA (London) and at the AIFI's Film Festival in San Francisco. I have a unique story and have a million more to tell. I have just finished my screenplay, 'Ghosts of the Burning Sage' and am also Directing a doc, 'Celluloid Indians' for the American Indian Film Institute.

I am a builder with a vision to build homes and commercial buildings on or near ndn land, it's all ndn land, but, I digress, utilizing local indigenous labor, training a core of skilled workers who can earn a good living and better support their families and community.

Camille Manybeads Tso (Navajo) is a fourteen year old filmmaker who learned the art of film through Outta Your Backpack Media. Camille has been with OYBMedia since she was 9, and is currently the youngest youth mentor. Camille's latest film is "In the Footsteps of Yellow Woman," a docu-drama about her ancestors and the Long Walk, that she made at age 13.
I am a young Dine' filmmaker. I have recently released a film about my ancestors struggles during the time of the Long Walk called, "In the Footsteps of Yellow Woman." This singer, songwriter, actor, educator, and activist was born to Southern California into indigenous heritage (his father is Native American of Salish ancestry; his mother, of Panamanian of Mayan ancestry) Shawn has embraced his culture,past and present with an eye to the future.
Shawn first came to the public's attention through his acting skills. He has appeared in films as diverse as LAST of THE MOHICANS to WILD BILL and television productions such as MURDER SHE WROTE and CBS after school special MY INDIAN SUMMER.
His stage credits include the highly acclaimed production of GHOST DANCE at Los Angeles Actors Gang Studio. Shawn played CHEIF NEAWAH, in SO FAR FROM SCIOTO at the acclaimed Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. An Indian Initiative to include the histories of the native peoples in the 18th century. Presently Shawn is starring on a national commercial for "The Ad Council, with President Obama on fatherhood. This is an honor because Shawn is the first native american (along with his co-stars) that will appear for this campaign.
Shawn has been a member of SAG and AFTRA for over 15 years.

Highlighting the human experience as seen through indigenous eyes. The strength of his music and beauty of his words was enhanced by producer John Avila, the talented bassist/producer of Oingo Boingo. Shawn and John furthered their collaboration by placing FIGHT in a documentary/drama about PONCHO GONZALES the famed tennis master which aired on SPIKE TV in 2006.
Final polishing was added by the skillful mastering of techniques of Ron Mc Master (Capitol Records). The results were marketed as the limited edition "RUN 2 U". Tracks "FREEDOM" and "LIBERTAD" received terrific response and airplay. Due to their popularity these songs are featured on the full-length CD/DVD SHAWN MICHAEL PERRY & ONLY THE BRAVE.
Shawn has opened for and shared the bill with REDBONE...BADLANDS... BILL MILLER...MARY YOUNGBLOOD...KEITH SECOLA...JEFF HEALEY...THEE RHYTHM KINGS...YAIVA...Just to name a few.
